A standard, wholesome eight-year-old kid. Innocent and trusting. Even when he acts out in certain ways throughout the story in response to the black comedy crap we throw at him there's a certain sweetness to it. Jean Claude becomes his best friend.

Matthew Hemminger

Matthew is a 5th grader at Miller South Performing Arts School in Akron.  He has performed on stage the Akron area in 'Give and Take', 'Speaking of Murder', 'Junie B. Jones', 'A Christmas Story'-"voted one of the top 10 holiday events to see in North East Ohio"! by the Akron Beacon Journal, and 'Once Upon a Mattress'.  He is currently in 'A Christmas Story' again at Magical Theatre.  Matthew has also appeared in 'Swing Gate', a short film to be seen in the International Film Festival, and 'The Method', another short film that participated and debuted in the 48 Hour Film Contest in Cleveland this past summer.  'The Method' has also been submitted for the International Film Festival.  Matthew has studied drama with the Magical Theatre Company, Illusion Factory, Weathervane Community Theatre and currently with Miller South Performing Arts School.  Miller South is a performing arts school that requires an audition placement, studying drama daily along with the other performing arts in addition to education.  "I love being on stage performing in front of an audience as much as being in front of a camera - it's a blast!"  He hopes to be an actor on television or the big screen soon.
